Online Program Accommodation Information
Baylor University and the Office of Access and Learning Accommodation (OALA) are committed to ensuring equal access in all aspects of the college experience for students with disabilities in all of Baylor’s programs, including those taking courses on-line.
Any student who needs accommodations must contact the OALA office and follow the proper application process, which is explained on our website. The student will be required to provide appropriate documentation of a disability and the need for accommodation. Once accommodations are approved, the student is responsible for informing their faculty at the beginning or prior to the start of the online program. As the OALA website explains, faculty have the discretion to make changes in requirements, but these are not considered formal accommodations under the ADA and Section 504, unless they have been approved through OALA.
